Jason Duckles, Cello, In-Person

Cellist Jason Duckles is from Vancouver, Canada, leads an active life as a chamber musician. As a member of the Humboldt Streichtrio with Volker Jacobsen and Anthea Kreston (both formerly of the Artemis Quartet), he was invited to perform in the inaugural week of the famed Elbphilharmonie Hall, Hamburg.  As a chamber musician, Jason has won top prizes in both the Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the Munich ARD International Competition and has toured with YoYo Ma’s Silk Road Project in concerts from New York to Kazakhstan.  He was a member of the Konzerthaus Orchestra in Berlin, Germany. Jason has been on the faculty of Wesleyan University and Connecticut College and has had the honor of performing in concert with members of the Beaux Arts trio, and the Artemis, Cleveland, Orion, Emerson, and Guarneri String Quartets.

Norman Fischer, Masterclass, Virtual

Norman Fischer has concertized on five continents and in 49 of the 50 United States and has served on many competition juries including the Paolo Borciani and Banff International string quartet competitions.

Mr. Fischer is currently Herbert S. Autrey Professor of Cello and Director of Chamber Music at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston. Mr. Fischer also holds the Charles E. Culpepper Foundation Master Teacher Chair at the Tanglewood Music Center, where he has been on the summer faculty since 1985. He is currently on the board of directors of Chamber Music America.

Hans Jorgen Jensen, Masterclass, virtual

Hans Jørgen Jensen is professor of cello at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. During the summer, he is a faculty member at The Meadowmount School of Music and The Young Artist Program at the National Arts Center in Ottawa Canada under the direction of Pinchas Zukerman. He has been a guest professor at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, The Oberlin College Conservatory, The Eastman School of Music, The Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen, and the Tokyo College of Music, the Jerusalem Music Center, and the PyeongChang International festival and School in Korea.

Diane Chaplin, cello, virtual

Diane spent 21 years as the cellist of the Colorado Quartet and with them had an international career which took her around the globe. Diane has held teaching positions Bard College, Oberlin College-Conservatory and Swarthmore College. Diane is also an inspiring teacher of young students, and trained hundreds of cellists during a two-decade tenure at the Allen-Stevenson School in Manhattan. Diane holds a BFA degree from the California Institute of the Arts, where she was a student of Cesare Pascarella, and a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Harvey Shapiro.

David Cunliffe, Cello, virtual

Cellist David Cunliffe has performed with the BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish and Royal Scottish Symphony Orchestras. As part of the Grammy Nominated Lincoln Trio, David has recorded numerous albums for the Cedille label.

He completed his studies at the International Yehudi Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland where he studied with Radu Aldulescu and toured throughout Europe with Yehudi Menuhin and the Camerata Lysy. He is currently on the faculty of the Music Institute of Chicago.

Tom Rosenberg, Cello, virtual

Tom Rosenberg is Artistic Director of the prestigious Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the Director of the Saint Paul Chamber Music Academy.His students have won many awards, regularly gain acceptance into top music schools, and over twenty-five students from his studio have performed on NPR’s “From the Top”. Highly sought after as a teacher, he has been on faculty at the Tanglewood Institute, The Quartet Program, Bravo, and the Midwest Young Artists Summer Chamber Music Camp. Recent masterclasses have been at The Cleveland Institute of Music, The Oberlin Conservatory, Northwestern University, Boston University, Boston Conservatory, the Interlochen Arts Academy, and the Music Institute of Chicago.
